This is a good day

I like that. I like that a lot.
Speaking of responding to things, the docs decided Mommy doesn't need to go on Coumadin. Hurray!
Please pop over to
gmskarka's LJ to check out A Day in the Life of a Conservative. Priceless.
There's another meeting coming up about the Wescoe air quality. I haven't bothered going because I really don't think they're going to release any damning information. But I am still on the lookout for people who want to give me houseplants for my office. Apparently the best plants to clean air in a sick building are: lady palm, areca palm, bamboo palm, rubber plants and dracaenas. Anyone got some plants they care to get rid of? It's for a good cause.
Last night I swung by Hancock Fabrics to look for some more fabric for
nottygypsy's bloomers (the first pair got worn clean out). I didn't have much hope (green paisley = rarer than hen's teeth), but lo and behold, absolutely the most gorgeous paisley I've ever seen was there! Staring me in the face! And...and...and it was GREEN! I couldn't believe my/our luck. I called
nottygypsy in as much of a tizzy as I could muster (having just finished up at the gym an hour before and still no dinner). Bought the whole bolt. It's absolutely glorious stuff. I'm so happy! There's enough there for three pairs of bloomers. Maybe four if she continues the current rate of shrinkage.
Now I'm off to deliver a shirt to
fireguarder and pick up my not-too-floral wreath from
the_themiscyran. (Edit: It's lovely!)
