Hideous Apology

I would like to offer a public apology for my statement earlier this week linking the use of certain academic feminist rhetorical terms with a poor sex life. Just because I dislike the phrase doesn't mean everyone using it is frigid or undersexed. I stand by my opinion that the wording of the phrase is sexist, divisive, and detrimental to equality, but that doesn't mean the people who use the phrase need a good fuck to lighten up.

Today I'm starting a Hideous Scarf. As I wrote bestill this morning:

"I want a scarf that will make me laugh enough that I forget for a moment why I have to put it on. I'm using a black furry *and* puffy Moda Dea yarn, coupled with a varigated pastel orange/yellow/green cheap Red Heart worsted weight yarn. This will be great."

Last night we lost power around 9:00 p.m. I was so close to finishing Daddy's xmas present, too. Grr. I was on button #3 of 5. Can you believe it? I sewed them on this morning, though, and now it's all wrapped and ready to go. I sure hope we don't have this weather next weekend when we gotta drive to the airport.
