Ready for this part to be over now, thanks

I rebelled against my better judgment and splurged twenty bucks on a pair of earrings on Etsy. If they get here in time, they'll go nicely with The Costume. I need more earrings like I need another hole in my head, but hey. I'm kind of down, and I can't indulge myself in Dolly Madison Powdered Sugar Gem Donuts, so earrings it is. I avoided purchasing both pairs that I wanted. I limited myself to the cheaper pair. So that's good, right?

PSA: It annoys me when people say "we" when they really mean "you." For instance: "Do you think we could get this on the website today?" "Do we have an email address for her?" "Have we found out about the paperwork on that issue?" Really really annoying. I suppose people think it's polite, but it just comes off as incredibly snotty and demeaning. There's one person in the department whom I adore, but when he does this to me I reply "Do you mean can I do it? Yes, yes I can." I wish I could do that with more people.

I'm wearing a pair of my new brown boots--the Out Of Africa Boots--today. They look awesome.

S. down the hall just returned to her office for her umbrella. A student asked if it was raining and S. replied "No, but if I figure I take the umbrella, there's less chance it will." S. obviously subscribes to my theory of weather magic.

Last night was full of weird and discomforting dreams. I woke up more than once in a disturbed state and with bad night sweats. Now I need to wash the sheets tonight. Yuck.

I'm ready to move on from today.
