Back to Monday. Yay.

I don't really need a 2009 wall calendar, but everflame sent me the link to this one (gross zombie pin-up alert) and I think maybe I might get it, regardless of actual need. Wall space in the sewing room is at a premium at the moment, though. Daddy bought me an amazing fantasy art serigraph of a belly dancer and I picked it up from the Michael's frame shop yesterday. It's pretty dang huge. I mean, the serigraph itself is large, and I had it double-matted with a 1 1/2" frame. It's big. Most of my big art I've brought to the office, but this one...I think this one maybe not at the office. ( Cut for image of serigraph )

Looking at my planner, I think I overscheduled myself for this week. I have away-from-home after-work plans (all of which involve some level of alcohol, at least) for every night except for Wednesday. Um. Hm. Next weekend I'm away to visit my mom and nana (Daddy will be out of town, alas), and the weekend after that, I'm off to a dance workshop in theoneinblue's neck of the woods. I need to ease up on the social activities if I'm going to have more than one or two cool-weather wardrobe items that fit properly.

Having time and energy to sew some clothes was a big motivation for my taking vacation last week. I did get one garment made over my "vacation"--that jumper dress I mentioned. And it didn't fit. Which mystifies me, because the muslin garment fit fine, and I made only some tiny (but necessary) alterations to the pattern in the armscythe in the final fabric. Weird and annoying.

The polish on one of my toes (from my totally-too-recent-for-this-to-happen pedicure) completely peeled off yesterday.

Is it really too much to ask that everything go my way? I mean come on.
