Bizz

First off, I must confirm: The Ren-bizz-bance sign? Still there.

Having the opening weekend of KCRF be a three-day weekend is cruel. Although it's nice to get that hurdle out of the way early, before I'm too run down. Thank God we don't perform on Columbus Day. So perhaps it's a draw. But Jesus H., I'm tired today.

I loved getting to snark with the whores Saturday and Monday. Comments were made about my level of venom. I don't think I'm getting quicker and cattier, although I have to admit I was in pretty good form. Rather, I think everyone just forgot how acidic I can be, due to my being absent from the brothel most of last year. Good times!

Speaking of good times, I get to leave work early to deliver a case of wine to the department faculty reception. Bonus. Doubt I'll stick around for any of the reception. I'm not feeling terribly chatty. Imagine!

Tonight I've got an appointment with my doctor to get a referral to a G.I. specialist about the ongoing digestion issues. Several people at faire this weekend got to observe the Crazy Evil Magic that is my Food Baby (or, as [livejournal.com profile] rougewench called it, my Food Homunculus). I figure I ate a total of about 3,000 calories during the entire three-day weekend and my stomach was still bloated when I got home last night. I'm down three pounds, but my belly is even now hanging over the edge of my jeans (after milky coffee and a couple almonds). The reactions are rapidly getting worse, and are no longer enhanced or mitigated by what I eat or don't eat. Any food can set off a chain of gastro-intestinal unpleasantness.

[livejournal.com profile] satowi mentioned chakra work, suggesting that perhaps I had some sort of energy blockage in the yellow or orange zone. I confessed my Hardcore Science leanings and admitted I hadn't considered alternative treatments for this problem. I'm not sure why I balk at the idea. NMT did wonders for my allergies and that was hardly something that would be embraced by mainstream medicine. If the G.I. specialist comes up blank, I'll make an appointment to talk to my fabulous NMT/Chiropractor about her thoughts. The NMT didn't do beans for my vertigo/balance issues, though. Perhaps after that failure, I've got doubts about if it can help me with something other than my allergies.

It seems that my life is consumed (har har) with the food/eating issues these days. I'm ready to move on from this, please.

And now, some shout-outs:

Splitting the whoring/dancing duties is going to be great. Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] anerys, for sharing Smoker dance dates with me.

Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] nottygypsy and [livejournal.com profile] purpledumbass for letting me crash at your place this weekend. So much better than driving myself all three days.

And finally, [livejournal.com profile] mckitterick wins Gold Star Boyfriend for the fabulous prezzies he picked up for me at Greaserama this weekend. Smootches!
