On Dress-A-Day today, Erin pimped what sounds like a lovely starter book for the motivated beginner sewist: Built by Wendy Dresses: The Sew U Guide to Making a Girl's Best Frock. For those of you who are wondering if sewing your own clothes is something you'd like to try, this book sounds like a good springboard. Erin gives very good advice, and she gives this one a thumbs-up. In her own words:

I get a lot of emails that basically read "I bought a sewing machine NOW WHAT??" I think this book is the new answer to "NOW WHAT??"

Reading Erin's description of the book made me all antsy to resume my wardrobe building.
