Pirate Ball

It was a pretty good time! It was like a giant Smoker, only I was wearing a comfortable costume, and didn't have to perform or wait tables. It was also really nice to hear The Blades sing their slow songs with mikes and a decent sound system. Thank you, miichelle for inviting me! It was a blast.

The open-to-there waistcoat worked well, but I'm going to find a way to dart it since the ties in back made the front a little too wrinkly. Got several compliments on the coat, despite its nakedness (the trim will, I hope, arrive in time for the ConQuesT masquerade).

I got home just about an hour ago (soooo grateful that I didn't have to drive back to Lawrence last night) and I'm freezing and starving. Not sure if I want to climb into a warm bed or wake mckitterick and tell him it's time to take me out to brunch. Decisions...
