T minus two hours and counting
Jul. 18th, 2010 10:27 amI'm done. Except for mailing a box of books to someone who didn't want to pay for an extra (and possibly overweight) suitcase on the trip home. Which...seriously. Anything to avoid giving extra money to the airlines that they shouldn't be charging anyway. One carry-on bag limit? Douche Hats. *gives middle finger to all airlines that charge for checked bags*
The new Penzey's catalog arrived in yesterday's mail. I am looking forward to sitting my ass on the couch and leafing through it while sipping an iced coffee. Mmmm. Life is good.
It occurs to me, though, that technically there are still a few more hours of the conference left, so I shouldn't get too comfortable yet. So I'll be sittting my ass on the couch with the coffee and catalog and my (new, still-despised-because of its newness) phone nearby.
Notes to self for next year: 1. Remember to ask in advance about guest's dietary restrictions (you'd think I would have remembered this from the Corey Doctorow stuff. But I am a slow learner, as we all know) 2. Make name badges for banquet attendees who are not registered for the conference 3. Make signage for events ahead of time 4. Check to see that all buttons on fly are securely fastened before carrying Special Food for Wheat-Free Guests into the meeting room.
