I am a technological menace
Jul. 30th, 2019 08:21 amYesterday, after a decent night's sleep, I was ready to Make Some Fuckin' Art. Anyone who knows me knows where this is going.
Hauled everything out, cut out my base images, made a tape transfer (which I kinda fucked up but my fault, I was trying to rush it), got two layers of paint and texture down, and...the airbrush wouldn't work. Again. Good air, no paint. Wouldn't even spray water, so I knew it wasn't thick paint--that was the problem last time. Took it apart, looked clean, put it back together, no joy. Fine. Tomorrow's another day.
This morning I tried it, just to test. I used to work in IT, I know how the turn-it-off and turn-it-on-again game works. No water, just air. So I take it apart again, triple check the gasket (another previous lesson), put it all back together and...now it won't stop pushing air through. Even when I'm not touching the trigger. Took it apart AGAIN, put it back together. Constant air.

Gonna have to wait for
mckitterick to get home and look at the damn thing.
And I could continue without the airbrush--it's just a card--but damn it I love the way the airbrushed stuff looks. Also now I'm irritable and sulky and feeling sorry for myself which is not the best mood for arting, especially with my shiny new fave being suddenly not so fave.
Gonna watch some K-pop videos to distract myself for a while. Then maybe clean the kitchen since I've got dinner company tonight (and tomorrow).

No new Tuesday collection this week, but if you wanna see the archive one I posted to cm.net, it's Tuesday, September 5, 2012: Black and White. Note: this collection contains the image (technically SFW, from a 1993 Vanity Fair article) that drove home the fact I am real fuckin' hot for butch women. I shoulda kept that magazine...
