Sunday Snippet, et. al.
Jul. 3rd, 2022 10:14 amThe puzzle arrived on Friday! I worked on it for about two hours and omg it totally knocked me out 😂 I took like a two hour nap and felt foggy for a few hours after that. Brain activity burns a lot of energy. I've been working on it here and there but I'm confused because the edge pieces on the upper right side don't? match? the photo? so I'm a little frustrated with that.
Came down with a killer migraine late yesterday afternoon. I don't get a lot of them--maybe six or seven a year? But last night's was a rare one where I had to lie on the bathroom floor because I thought I was going to throw up. I even tried to vomit, just so I could stop feeling so nauseated, but I have a nearly non-existent gag reflex and couldn't quite manage so lying on the floor it was. I eventually felt okay enough to go to bed (took the trash can with me tho) and mostly slept through the night.
Super fragile today. I hate being my normal-levels of fragile so this is especially annoying.
Writing happened again this week, yay, so have some more from Redemption. We're just shy of 60k!

Zhao Yunlan poured himself another cup of wine in the silence that followed his proposal.
When he looked up, Ye Zun’s unnervingly neutral face stared back.
Without breaking eye contact, he pushed his now-empty cup across the table to Zhao Yunlan. Zhao Yunlan bit back an annoyed sigh and refilled it. Returning Ye Zun’s stare, he pushed it back across the table.
Your move, buddy.
