Friday--and about damn time
Dec. 3rd, 2004 08:59 amFirst, a small announcement: I won't be going to Sellout tonight. Just tomorrow. Tonight I'm staying in with my cat, who is going through a small amount of trauma. But I will be at the Jazzhaus with bells on for Saturday.
This is the last call for cocoa and chex mix requests. I've got
stuology and
starstraf down for cocoa, and
solan_t (edit: and
starstraf) down for chex mix. Last chance, folks, let me know.
I am sick to tears of joke Twelve Days of Christmas songs. The original is bad enough, but to sit through twelve decreasingly funny verses is pure hell. The only version that's vaguely bearable is the one on the Muppets Christmas album with John Denver. I always thought it was hysterical that Gonzo got to sing the part about the French Hens.
This weekend I must:
Pick up sewing machine from repair shop
Go to Sam's Club
Grocery shop
Photograph items to sell on eBay, maybe even get some things listed
Arrange sewing area into useable formation
Of course, that's in addition to going out dancing Saturday and general weekend crap one never counts on. Wish me luck.
( Now, Friday Fives )
EDIT: Just found something on
metaquotes that really needs to be shared with the world. Green Eggs and Ham, LOTR style. Oh, just click and read for godssake.

</td><td valign="top">You are a geek liaison, which means you go both ways. You can hang out with normal people or you can hang out with geeks which means you often have geeks as friends and/or have a job where you have to mediate between geeks and normal people. This is an important role and one of which you should be proud. In fact, you can make a good deal of money as a translator.
