Delicious pumpkin bread, courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] indigodreamer, spread with the Indian Trail cranberry relish I mentioned a few posts ago is really, truly, an amazing breakfast. It could only be made better by eating it in bed. With my kitty curled at my feet. And maybe a heating pad. It's freezing in here.

It's a slow day here in Lake Woebegone the English Department. Grades are due by midnight, so I expect I'll see a barrage of calls around 4:30 from professors who can't figure out the new online grade submission forms. I have no sympathy for those people. No sympathy at all. I do have sympathy for our poor visiting professor, living in Western Kansas, who has no internet connection, and has been trying to submit his grades since Monday. I have all the sympathy in the world for him. Poor guy. Western Kansas and no internet connection? I guess that's how he gets novels written. Still. shudder We'll see if his students actually get grades or "WG" on their cards for this semester.

Now, for something infintely more important, please consider taking the time to read [livejournal.com profile] saycestsay's post on the Haves and Have Nots.
