My boots arrived this morning. I'm not thrilled with them, although they do fit very well, and are quite comfy (perhaps, dare I say, even more so than my beloved Double-H ones). They're a soft suede, which I wasn't expecting, and rather olive instead of brown. The strap across the heel isn't functional, and doesn't move to cross over the instep. I'm not sure how I feel about having a decorative strap on such functional boots. I think I'm just going to leave one on my desk and look at it all day. Those of you on campus, feel free to drop by and give me your opinion. I'm looking at you,
everflame and
auroraceleste.
My newest issue of CRAFT: arrived yesterday (love to
_luaineach!) and there is a very simple pattern for felted booties in it. Then today I stumbled across a blog that mentioned a felted cloche (thank you,
tattooedartgirl for the CraftGossip.com link). I think I might try my hand (with help from
bestill) at some felting this winter.
Wow am I dropping names like crazy there.
I am peevish, touchy, and out of sorts. Still. I'm not sure what needs to happen to resolve this. I'm thinking a long weekend with my parents is not the answer, but there's no changing those plans. I guess I'll have to deal with the attitude when I get back. I hope exercise and better eating is part of the solution. Certainly can't hurt.
