Ouch

Stayed home today with an unhappy uterus. Tried to console myself with window shopping for shoes on eBay. Failed. Ate some frozen blueberries and now I have beautifully purple fingertips and blue lips. Now I am off to find a heating pad.

Bitchy Ms. Red is bitchy

I saw on someone's blog that she attended San Francisco's Edwardian Ball. I got all excited to see some eye candy. Well. Perhaps I'm a little biased for several reasons (I love actual Edwardian fashion, I am sick to tears of faux Victoriana, I am currently bleeding like a stuck pig), but I have to ask: Why the fuck do they call this thing The Edwardian Ball?

It's a glorious spectacle and everyone looks great, I guess. But here's an opportunity to show off some gorgeous and generally under-appreciated fashions (Poiret! Fortuny!), yet everyone's trotting around in the same old hourglass-corsetted and top-hatted sillhouettes. Pah.
