I asked someone for advice on how to better promote my tarot readings. They advised I think of ten descriptors of my readings that go beyond standard words like "insightful," "helpful," etc, then post on social media a short description of how my readings incorporate that quality.

So far I've come up with: Collaborative, Compassionately Honest, Pattern-seeking, Investigative, and Companionable. Someone once described my style as "therapy informed," which sounds great but I'm leery of using it since I don't want to give the false impression that I have minimal experience with therapy and no credentials. (eta so I have these all in one place, based on suggestions elsewhere: Straightforward, Patient, Empathic, Grounded, Contextual)

If I've given you a reading, what word(s) or short phrase(s) would you use to describe it or my reading style?

I can now offer trial memberships to my tarot Patreon! If you're curious but uncertain about committing, this gives you seven days of free access to all my current supporter-only posts.

Also, a reminder that since my website launch is a little delayed, I'm making appointments for readings via email/DM. If you've got a question that needs some outside perspective, drop me a line! $30 for a 30 minute reading.

The concept of "the universe is telling me" has never appealed, but Certain Events are certainly pointing to my needing to get my ass in gear regarding The Secular Sacred.

This morning I registered accounts for it on Gmail, Instagram, Tumblr, and Patreon. Still trying to figure out how to make a second account on Twitter on desktop since I deleted the app on my phone and have no intention of re-installing it. If I can't, oh well. This afternoon I'm going to write some copy for the website instead of just thinking about it real hard.

I need to take a break from the computer though since yesterday I kinda fucked up my wrists working in the studio 😩 and they're starting to ache.

I want to spend less time in front of a screen, anyway, and I think the best way for me to do that (at least while the weather is miserable) is to read paper books. I'm going to start hunting used book websites for copies of the tarot books I'm interested in since my library doesn't have a great selection. If anybody wants to buy one for me, let me know and I'll give you a title so I don't wind up with multiple copies (just a reminder I don't accept gifts purchased through Amazon).

In the meantime I'm going to start going through the two tarot books I already own to start annotating them. I've never been keen on writing in my books but if I'm going to be using them as resources I think it's necessary. I'll still be taking notes in pencil, though. (COMMITMENT ISSUES)
